Love the take away- embrace it, don't fear it! Great examples of both pros and cons, Suzanne. Way to be open to integrating technology into the classroom to enhance education. Loved the comic at the end...Classic! :)
Suzanne, I enjoyed reading your thoughts about last weeks reading. I agree that students need to feel that what they are learning is relevant and important to their life, especially in middle school and high school. I remember my Economics and Math classes using extremely outdated material and feeling like I would never use it. Now, there are so many apps out there that teachers could use to help with challenging courses, allowing students to feel like what they are learning is relevant and even sometimes easy. It's amazing what a difference technology can make. I also liked how you brought up the fact that research shows how today's youth have a lack of physical exercise. This is such a scary reality that I hope society can realize and change in the future. Thanks for the post! -Tatum
